“A year prior today (December 23, 2015)
Had a shoot at La Campaigne Tropicana and I cleared out before my partners ‘cos I needed to purchase fuel in the jerrycan I had in my boot. I’d seen a fuel station with short lines on my way in prior.
Christmas was two days away, it was my last day shooting and I was energized therefore, regardless of the possibility that there was this fuel shortage matter that was simply bothering.
My auto windows were up, the AC was on and I recollect Gbemi had recently begun chatting on the radio when I looked to one side through the driver’s window and my reality ceased…
There were huge headlamps directly before my face with what resembled the nose of a mammoth metallic monster just inches far from me. Everything happened in a brief moment however it was simply enough time for me to acknowledge I was actually going to be keep running over by a truck.
In a split second, there was effect!
The sound was stunning, and I lost control. In what then appeared like everlastingly, the truck dragged me on for another 70 meters or so before grinding to a halt.
I turned upward and it didn’t appear as though I was in paradise. I could likewise feel my face. I was still alive! At that point I recollected my auto’s fuel tank was as an afterthought that was simply hit. No chance I would sit in a detonating auto. In any case, I was caught. The truck was adhered to my entryway and my safety belt wouldn’t fall off…
Regardless i’m not certain how I did it but rather I discovered my way through that bolted safety belt and out the traveler’s entryway in the blink of an eye and afterward remained to watch the whole scene in stun with onlookers inquiring as to whether the auto driver was dead. I’d gotten out so quick they didn’t know I was the driver.
The truck driver had in a split second flee while his motor was still on the grounds that he was almost certain he had killed me…
Be that as it may, I’m alive today to recount my story and express gratitude toward God for one more year.
I cleared out the scene with just a scratch to my left side arm and a slight dread of looking left at whatever point I’m driving. Greatly little cost to pay for what could have been way more regrettable.
So while we may have had an intense 2016 and might want to gripe, please attempt to appreciate the occasions this year realizing that things could have been more awful for you . You just may never know. Be grateful folks!!! I beyond any doubt am.”
